PowerSchool Implementation & Support
PowerSchool is a powerful student information system, but it requires thoughtful setup, reliable processes, and responsive support. Indiana Charters helps schools implement PowerSchool, manage day-to-day operations, troubleshoot problems, and keep school data ready for state reporting.
PowerSchool Setup and Implementation
Whether a school is moving to PowerSchool or improving a new installation, we can help plan and coordinate the work. Support may include:
- Initial system planning and database setup
- Data import, cleanup, and validation
- Configuration of calendars, terms, courses, grading, attendance, and enrollment processes
- User access, roles, and security planning
- Registration forms, plugins, and related tools
- Staff training and practical operating procedures
- Opening-of-school and implementation checklists
Ongoing PowerSchool Operations
For partner schools, Indiana Charters serves as the first call for routine PowerSchool needs. We work directly with school staff to keep the system useful, accurate, and moving forward.
Ongoing support may include:
- Help-desk support and day-to-day troubleshooting
- Beginning-of-year and end-of-year processes
- Student scheduling and course setup
- Enrollment, withdrawal, attendance, grading, and transcript questions
- Report cards, forms, fees, café, and other plugins
- Data cleanup and customized reports
- Staff coaching and targeted training
- Coordination with PowerSchool support and other vendors
Data Exchange and State Reporting
PowerSchool data must be accurate before a school can confidently certify its state reports. Indiana Charters can help staff:
- Review Data Exchange errors and validation issues
- Identify the underlying record or configuration problem
- Correct student and staff data
- Reconcile PowerSchool information with IDOE reporting results
- Prepare for certification cycles
- Improve processes so the same errors are less likely to return
Targeted Help for Other Schools
A school does not need a full ongoing contract to ask for help. When capacity allows, Kevin Davis and the Indiana Charters team can provide one-time troubleshooting, planning, training, or operational support for Indiana charter schools that are not current partners.
We will first determine what the school needs, handle the work that fits our experience, and identify the right next step when more specialized assistance is required.
Advanced Support Through TRC Educational Services
Indiana Charters works with Shannon Cochran and TRC Educational Services for advanced PowerSchool needs. TRC brings deep experience in system implementation, configuration audits, scheduling, custom reports, registration products, training, and complex troubleshooting.
When an issue goes beyond our in-house capabilities, we coordinate the work and bring in TRC rather than leaving the school to find another provider. Schools receive a practical first point of contact through Indiana Charters and access to specialized PowerSchool expertise when needed.
One Place to Start
Schools should not have to decide whether a question is “routine” or “advanced” before asking for help. Start with Indiana Charters. We will work through the issue, solve what we can, and involve TRC when that is the best path forward.
